Web poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players are given five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s value is equal to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes directly to the dealer. After the bet comes the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with an amount on par with the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The casino pony’s up cash equal to your ante and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
