For a match where the majority of gamblers occasionally consider luck, there are tons of superstitions in poker. When you say that an individual was lucky in that poker tournament they won, be mindful of how you mention it. For example, if you mention that you were unfortunate, your fortune may not change.

Ok, that may sound a bit ubsurd, but poker is a casino game armed with superstitions. Did you know that if you’re playing a game with 2 seperate decks and you are asked to select the deck, you should always pick the deck of cards that is furthest from you? Or, how about If you get a streak of terrible cards, you have to sit on a hankerchief to break your bad luck? It is actually thought of as good luck to blow through a deck of cards while they are being shuffled.

A few other interesting poker folklores are:

  • You will be able to alter the run of cards by passing around your chair 3 times.
  • The most beneficial chair at the poker table faces the entrance.
  • The worst chair has its back to a fireplace.
  • When shifting spots, you really should always do so following the clock.
  • The worst poker card is the four of clubs.
  • It is most unfortunate to sit with your legs crossed at the poker table.
  • Mon is a bad day for playing cards.
  • The thirteenth is also a bad day, regardless of when it falls during the week.
