Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers bet with other players. By wagering against the dealer, new players do not need to be concerned about any other, more skillful individuals taking their moolla.
Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, novices are able to take their time and strategize without needing to make quick choices.
It is also simpler to bet on for a long time with only a little bit of cash since, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards face up and the house is dealt 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and a two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the dealer’s.
