Poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variants on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s value is equal to your beginning wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes directly to the casino. After the wager is the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including an amount in accordance with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The casino pays money equal to your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
